Being alone doesn’t mean the same as being lonely. Lately, I’ve been hearing more and meeting women and men in their mid-thirties who feel lonely. They long for a relationship with someone, but they complain that these men are weird, spoiled, impatient, always in a rush in line with the fast-paced life. On the other hand, men have the same story, finding it difficult to find a “normal” woman for life and marriage; they all just want money and status. The truth is when two people meet, it’s a meeting of two worlds, two souls wrapped in the cloak of their emotional pain, and each subconsciously expects healing from the other, instant healing if possible. \ud83d\ude43<\/p>\n

Relationships are indeed the best way to get to know ourselves, our triggers, and require the courage to look deeply, deepest into ourselves, to look our shadow in the eye, embrace it, and accept it.<\/p>\n

In every relationship, and in love even more, commitment and childlike curiosity are necessary, with the constant question: while I’m with you, what can I learn about myself today \ud83e\udd17.<\/p>\n

Yes, it’s easier to be alone, I understand that. A relationship requires effort.<\/p>\n

A good relationship is built every day, with love, understanding, forgiveness.<\/p>\n

Only by accepting our imperfections can we accept the imperfections of others, including our potential and current partners, knowing that beneath all those masks and strange behaviors are souls that just want to be loved and to love, but perhaps they don’t know how. Remember that when you meet someone and give them a chance. You never know what lies beneath someone’s cold expression; perhaps the real treasure for you is hidden there, waiting to be discovered, step by step, through ups and downs, with faith and hope, patiently, slowly, persistently… a treasure that was worth the effort because, in traveling together on that journey, you got to know yourself.<\/p>\n
