Where our focus, thoughts, and emotions go, there goes our energy. Notice several times throughout the day where you’re directing your attention and thoughts, what “movies” you’re playing in your head: are they mostly pleasant or are they some unpleasant events, and how do you feel about them? (because that’s where your energy goes).

This exercise is applied when we need to increase self-awareness, achieve a better sense of connection between body, mind, and spirit, and bring our energy back to ourselves.

Ask yourself several times during the day:

  1. What am I feeling in my body right now, do I have any sensations, and where are they in the body? Do I feel any pain, discomfort, nausea, or warmth, pleasure, and in which part of the body?

  2. What thoughts do I have now, what am I thinking about? Then observe how those thoughts come and slowly go, and new thoughts come and go again….

  3. What emotions do I have now, how do I feel right now? Perhaps anxious, scared, worried, or pleasant, relaxed, calm, cheerful, joyful…

  4. Finally, ask yourself: At this moment, for myself, I want… (and finish this sentence, what would you like, love, what would now please you).

By practicing this exercise daily, we can increase awareness, become aware of how we are, how we feel, and what we need in that moment to be well and in balance.

When you bring your energy back to yourself and shift your focus from the problem to the solution, you’ll gain a vast field of new ideas and possibilities, and only then can you initiate your progress and energy.

With love,

Andrijana
